Getting Ready for School

I really thought I would update my blog more often than I do, but the boys have been keeping me so busy, its hard to find the time! Its hard to believe summer is coming to an end already. Jacob goes back to preschool next week. He's very excited to see his friends, meet his new teachers, and use his new Cars backpack. He's also very excited because I am going to be working at his school this year. Yes, you read that right! I'm going back to work. I got a job as an Assistant Teacher in the 3 year old class (Jacob's class from last year). I'm very excited about this new adventure! Once Joshua turns 2, he will be able to attend as well, so we will all be together!

Jason has been busy with his new position as Assistant Principal. Although it has already been keeping him very busy, he is loving every minute of his new job.

Anyway, here are some photos from the past few weeks.

North Carolina With The Levines

This past weekend we went to North Carolina to see the Levine Family -- Grandma Steffie, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Felicia, and Uncle Kevin (and of course, Diojee). We had a great time catching up. Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Vacation!

We are back from our vacation! Jason and I were actually able to go away without the boys -- it was our first vacation alone in 4 years. We dropped the boys off in NY with Grandma and Grandpa last Sunday and then on Monday, Jason and I headed to Newport, Rhode Island. On the way, we stopped for lunch in Mystic, CT and had lunch at Mystic Pizza. (for those of you who don't remember -- 1988 movie starring Julia Roberts)Yes, it really exists - there are pictures from the movie all over the walls. Very cute place.

Anyway, Newport was great. We visited 5 historic mansions (The Breakers, The Elms, Marble House, RoseCliff and Chataeu Sur Mer) and the Touro Synagoge (the oldest temple in the US).

Jason and I were not the only one's who had a great week. Jacob and Joshua had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa and didn't seem to mind at all that mommy and daddy went away. They had a busy week playing in the kiddie pool, building castles out of boxes with grandpa and fighting dragons! Jacob even made a new friend, Matthew, who lives a few houses down from my parents. Matthew is also 4 and just like Jacob, loves fire trucks, yard work and tools! Jacob had lots of fun driving this battery-operated fire truck, as well as Matthew's motercycle and jeep! He is now an expert at 3-point turns and driving in revrese!

Karate, Swimming, and Friends

We've been keeping busy this week with lots of activities. Jacob went to Karate three times this week with his buddies, Jaxon, Hannah, and Kendall, from school. We also ran into some old friends from his old "baby playgroup"(Sophie and Jack). It was fun seeing how big everyone's kids are now, especially since we started playing together when Jacob was 4 months old. Even all of our second babies aren't babies anymore! That playgroup fell apart last year because of everyones different preschool schedules.

Anyway, today we spend the morning hanging out with those old friends. Jacob got to go swiming with Jack and Sophie (and all the little siblings) and then back to Jack's house for lunch.

PS. I'll post pics of Joshua next time...... :-)

Busy Weekend

This was a busy fun-filled weekend with lots of birthday parties. On Saturday Jacob played miniature-golf for the first time at a b-day party. Despite the 95 degree heat, he had a great time. Joshua slept through the party in his stroller. Yesterday Jacob went to two birthday parties -- one at FunFit and one at Little Gym. After that he had a swimming lesson. Needless to say, he slept well last night! Joshua got to spend the day with daddy while I shuttled Jacob from one activity to the next. Here are two cute pictures of the boys from this weekend.

Catching up on the past few weeks

This was a busy week for all of us. Jason started his new job as Assistant Principal of Clarksburg E.S. He's doing great and looking forward to the upcoming school year.

We celebrated the 4th of July with our neighbors this week. The boys participated in a parade of bicycles, scooters, and strollers in the morning. The kids all got to decorate their bikes and scooters with flags, streamers and stickers. Later that afternoon, despite the rain, all of our neighbors got together on the court for a great BBQ.

Welcome to Our Blog

Welcome to the Levine Boys blog. This is my first attempt at blogging, but I thought it would be a great way to keep everyone up to date on our lives....and of course show off pictures of the boys :-)
